Saudi Arabia has prioritized the development of programs to align skills with the needs of the labor market, according to Abdullah Abuthnain, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor.

 

During the Global Labor Market Conference, Abuthnain added that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 enabled the launch of more initiatives related to the labor market, stressing that diversifying the economy depends on hybrid skills.

 

The ministry adopted a methodology to develop skills through partnerships with the public and private sectors and other parties. In addition, it completed a framework for each sector that includes standards and integrated definitions for more than 200 skills in 30 professions, he pointed out.
