Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said the Kingdom continues to record successes in energy sources and is working to build green projects that are the most ambitious in the world.

In a dialogue session during the Saudi Green Initiative Forum, he added that Saudi Arabia views sustainability as an opportunity.

The minister pointed out that even before the global energy transition, the Kingdom viewed its resources as sources that it must preserve and exploit wisely for future generations, noting that diversifying energy sources and exploiting other environmental resources is key, in addition to having effective policies.

Al-Falih further stated that Saudi Arabia is working to transform 50% of its energy diversification sources into renewable ones. It has developed strict policies for production processes to have the lowest emissions worldwide through the production of cleaner energy barrels at the lowest cost.

Meanwhile, he indicated that the investment would contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change and the supporting local initiatives, while ensuring sustainability through economic sustainability with the necessary funds and investments.
