The Idle Land Program said invoices for due fees on more than 17 million square meters (sqm) of undeveloped land plots under the seventh round of the first phase in Makkah were issued for 1445-1446H (2023-2024).

As many as 84 invoices for 68 dutiable land plots were issued in October as part of this round, which would provide about 31,000 real estate units if developed, the program added in a statement today, Oct. 23.

A total of six lands spanning over 1.3 million sqm became dutiable, while two others covering more than 46,000 square meters were developed under the sixth and seventh rounds of the first phase in Makkah.

The program urged landowners to develop their lands or pay the due fees within one year of the decision issuance.

More than 20,000 invoices were issued for dutiable lands in cities under coverage since the fees stipulated by the program entry into force in its first and second phases.
