Al Arabia says appeal against Jeddah Municipality adjourned until October-end

Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) announced that the appeal session against the ruling issued in its case filed against the Jeddah Municipality was held today, Oct. 16.

However, the court decided to postpone the session and set the next session date on Oct. 30, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

The expected completion date of this event cannot be determined at this moment, the company said, adding there are no costs associated with the event at the moment.

The financial impact of the event will be disclosed later, if any.

In June, Al Arabia announced that a preliminary ruling by Jeddah’s 13th administrative circuit was issued in its favor. The ruling obliged the Jeddah Municipality to repay SAR 75.89 million as compensation for the rental amounts paid to municipality for sites that were not handed over to Al Arabia in the Megacom billboards contract.
