NEOM’s new sustainable tourism destination Leyja

NEOM board of directors unveiled the Leyja, a new tourist destination that will feature three luxury hotels and facilities within a natural oasis between the valleys and mountains in NEOM.

Leyja will provide tourism and sports experiences, exploratory adventures, and various services, NEOM said in a statement.

Leyja is located in a historical area, starting from the Gulf of Aqaba Coast and extending between the natural terrain, in a magnificent natural valley carved between 400m-high mountains that have been crafted over long centuries by the power of nature and water.

NEOM said that 95% of Leyja will be preserved for nature, adding that the new destination will combine innovative environmental design with the latest construction techniques to ensure that facilities and buildings blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
