Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances Corp. (SPIMACO) approved the request of CEO Khaled Alkhattaf not to renew his contract due to personal reasons, according to a statement to Tadawul.
Alkhattaf’s last business day was Sept. 30, 2023. He will be appointed board advisor as of Oct. 1, 2023, to ensure business sustainability.
The board of directors also named Jerome Cabannes as an acting CEO as of Oct. 1, 2023.
Cabannes is SPIMACO’s Chief of Operations. He holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Paul Sabatier University, France. He also holds multiple certifications in Business Strategy and M&A from Oxford and Cambridge Universities, UK.
Cabannes has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
