CEO Islam Zween receives Argaam's Best Economic Platform in the Arab World
Argaam won the Digital Media Award category as Best Economic Platform in the Arab World for 2023 at the Arab Media Forum 2023 from Dubai Press Club.
The award honored Argaam’s effort to provide real-time updates on the latest economic and financial news on the Arab and global levels, in addition to the continued development of the portal, data and analysis.
Argaam Portal is the main provider of economic and financial data on the Saudi and GCC equity markets.
Having its fingers on the pulse of stock markets, the argaam.com portal provides various packages of financial data for investors and analysts in Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
Argaam’s CEO, Islam Zween, received the award.
Zween expressed his delight in winning this award, saying, “Relentless effort and teamwork since our inception in 2007 were the main reasons for winning this award.”
The CEO also praised the unlimited board support for the company’s projects and products.
Argaam follows the ambitious strategy of Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) to develop qualitative and exclusive content that gives an overview of contemporary issues. This is besides depending on technology and interaction through social media and other platforms.
Argaam will continue to develop its content and products to keep up with the great development witnessed by the Kingdom’s financial sector and Vision 2030, Zween affirmed.
The award is granted to the best economic platform, that operates independently from any newspaper or a TV channel and provides a special economic content that enhances its position as a comprehensive provider of the latest local, regional and global economic news.
According to the award criteria, winners should provide rich and diversified content and instant updates. This is in addition to producing qualitative and special content backed by data, seamless designs to allow easy browsing, interactive tools along with other features to support the illustration of information with videos and photos.
The Arab Journalism Award was introduced in November 1999, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to contribute to developing the Arab journalism and encourage Arab journalists to innovate.
On Nov. 28, 2021, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, directed transforming the Arab Journalism Award into the Arab Media Award to combine visual and digital media with the Arab journalism.
