Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman highlighted the Kingdom’s confidence in the nuclear energy’s positive contribution to energy security, not to mention its economic and social benefits.

 

During his speech at the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the minister added that Saudi Arabia is committed to its national policy that guarantees the highest levels of trust and transparency, as well as its state-of-the-art security applications in the nuclear energy field.

 

The Kingdom is developing the nuclear energy’s peaceful uses in various fields, with the aim of sustainable national development in accordance with local requirements and global commitments.

 

Moreover, a huge project to build the first nuclear power plant for peaceful energy in the Kingdom is in the pipeline, within the framework of the Saudi Vision 2030, he pointed out.
