Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) is in advanced talks to acquire three Egyptian private companies, Al-Borsa Newspaper reported today, Sept. 20, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

The three companies operate in the healthcare, education, and real estate development sectors, the sources said, adding that the PIF plans to close the three deals before the end of this year.

In August 2022, the PIF launched the Saudi Egyptian Investment Company (SEIC) to invest in various promising sectors in Egypt.

In the same month, SEIC acquired stakes in four companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) from the Egyptian government.
