Al Alamiya says board member resigns, Abdullah Alshwer to replace

Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Co.’s non-executive board member, Amal Abdullah Alluwaymi, resigned on Aug. 23, after she also stepped down from her position in Riyad Bank, according to a statement to Tadawul.

 

Alluwaymi’s resignation will be effective immediately, the statement added.

 

On June 4, the insurer’s board of directors had decided to appoint Abdullah Alshwer as a representative of Riyad Bank and a member of investment, nomination & remuneration committees, after the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) approval.

 

Alshwer has over 20 years of experience in the investment and financial sector. He held several leadership positions in the financial, investment and banking sectors, in addition to membership on the boards and committees of many local and international companies in various industries.

 

His appointment is subject to the approval of the upcoming general meeting.
