Umm Al-Qura Cement Co.'s board of directors accepted the resignation of CEO Majid Gharbawi on Aug. 9, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The resignation, which came due to personal reasons, will take effect as of Oct. 19, 2023, the company added.

 

The cement producer also indicated that it will duly announce any updates with regard to appointing a new CEO.

 

The company appointed Gharbawi as CEO on Oct. 20, 2021, according to Argaam's available data.
