Saudi Arabia has major renewable energy investments in Central Asia, specifically in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.

Central Asia is a very important investment area, given the available future investment potential and the development plans adopted by a number of its countries.

ACWA Power is the most prominent company in the Central Asian region, thanks to its projects in renewable energy, the minister said.

He explained that the company has wind energy projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in addition to the combined-cycle gas turbines project in Syrdarya. It also has solar energy and storage batteries projects.
