Diriyah Co. is growing at a fast pace, Jerry Inzerillo. Samhan Heritage Hotel, which comprises 141 rooms, along with one out of six museums will open next December, Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), told CNBC Arabia.
Many facilities will be inaugurated in the five masterplans of Diriyah, Inzerillo said, pointing to the investment of $3 billion in infrastructure in 2018 and 2019.
Further, the Diriyah Season will welcome at least one million visitors. Diriyah’s residential strategy is also underway as 394 out of 20,000 units will be offered for sale this year. These units will be built by 2030, the CEO added.
Diriyah will also plant 500,000 trees by 2024, in addition to many parks. It will also activate all social centers, Inzerillo added. Moreover, Diriyah will host the sixth edition of the Formula E, when the Kingdom celebrates the 93rd iteration of its National Day on Sept. 23, 2023. The event will end on Feb. 22, 2024.
In June 2020, the DGDA started to develop the first phase of the world’s biggest cultural and heritage project at a total value of SAR 75 billion, Argaam earlier reported.
