Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, said the Kingdom studies to link the Haramain and Al-Mashaer trains to serve the pilgrims.

The in-depth studies are conducted by the Ministry of Transport and the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, to provide the best solutions for linking these two projects directly, Al-Jasser told Akhbaar24.

Al-Mashaer train transported nearly 1.5 million pilgrims this year, the minister said, adding that the maximum capacity is a target in the next days.

The Haramain train played a major role in transporting pilgrims between Madinah and Makkah, between King Abdulaziz International Airport and Makkah, as well as between Jeddah and Madinah.
