Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said that Saudi Arabia has allocated $7.8 billion (SAR 29.3 billion) for hosting Expo 2030.

Expo 2030 will provide opportunities full of remarkable transformations and progress, he added.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman attended the Kingdom’s official reception to support Riyadh’s bid to host the World Expo in 2030 in Paris on June 19. Representatives from 179 countries attended the event.

According to the data available with Argaam, the Kingdom submitted an official application to organize Expo 2030, as Paris-based BIE announced that four countries submitted their official files to host this important event, led by Saudi Arabia (Riyadh), in addition to South Korea (Busan), Italy (Rome), and Ukraine (Odessa).

During the 171st BIE general assembly in November 2023, member states will vote on the candidates and choose the winning country for Expo 2030.
