Minister of Economy and Planning and Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) Faisal Al-Ibrahim announced the successful completion of the results of the Saudi Census 2022, saying it is the most accurate and comprehensive of its kind in the Kingdom's history.

During a press conference today, May 31, the minister added that the Saudi Census 2022 became an exemplar of the top statistical practices in the world, which GASTAT has implemented as per the best international standards and the latest methods of statistical data collection, using cutting-edge technologies.

This was attributed to the great development in the Kingdom's digital infrastructure, as well as increased cooperation between several government entities. This is alongside the remarkable transformation the Kingdom has witnessed since the launch of Vision 2030.

He further indicated that setting development plans for various sectors, drawing economic and social policies, and presenting data transparently require providing accurate and comprehensive data, highlighting that the census outputs are of great importance to achieving Saudi Arabia's economic goals.

Al-Ibrahim also pointed out that more than 30,000 Saudi researchers took part in this year’s census, with the participation of Saudi women for the first time.
