Shura Council calls for infrastructure needed for electric vehicles

The Shura Council, in its session held today, called on the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services to work in coordination with the relevant bodies to provide the necessary infrastructure to enable the use of electric vehicles and to provide the necessary incentives to reach the target rates by 2030.

 

The council reviewed the opinions of the member of the Transport and CIT Committee, regarding the contents of the annual report of the Ministry of Transport for the fiscal year 1443/1444 AH, after it was discussed in a previous session, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The Shura Council called on the ministry to complete the network of highways, axes, and entrances leading to Makkah, and to expedite the completion of studies to establish a metro network linking the Al Haramain Train and the Al-Mashaer Train to the central area of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, to serve pilgrims and Umrah performers at all times of the year.
