One of Sipchem’s plants
Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) announced the safe completion of the scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance activities for its affiliate International Diol Co. (IDC).
Operations at the IDC plant resumed on May 20, 2023, the company said in a statement on Tadawul.
During the scheduled turnaround, all the required works were completed safely, the company said, adding that this will enhance the plant’s efficiency, increase its reliability, reduce production cost, and allow it to achieve future operational plans.
The company will also announce the restart of the International Methanol Co. (IMC) plant once the scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance activities are complete.
In April, Sipchem announced plans for scheduled shutdown of IMC and IDC plants to carry out maintenance work in line with the established standards for the necessary routine and preventive maintenance, according to data compiled by Argaam.
The shutdown was expected to last for five weeks from May 1.
