Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries reached $116.2 billion in March 2023, increasing $4.5 million month-on-month (MoM), new data released by the US Treasury showed.
The Kingdom maintained the 17th place among the largest holders of US debt in March.
Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries were distributed among long-term bonds worth $103.2 billion, representing 89% of the total. This is besides short-term bonds worth $13 billion, accounting for 11%.

Japan was the top holder of US Treasury bonds in March with a value of $1.08 trillion. China came second, with a value of $869.3 billion, as the following table shows:
