Saudi Arabia advanced 17 spots on the World Bank 2023 Logistics Performance Index, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Kingdom jumped to the 38th position among 160 countries on the Logistics Performance Index, as it showed strong performance in a number of sub-indices, most notably logistics efficiency, tracking, timing, customs index, infrastructure, and maritime freight.

Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Saleh Al Jasser said this success was driven by the support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He highlighted the ambitious goals of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, including the extensive structural reforms and qualitative strategic initiatives that led to a significant shift in the operational efficiency of the transport and logistics system.

This progress came after the World Bank announced that two of the Kingdom's ports ranked first and eighth internationally in terms of operational performance, which enhances the Kingdom's position on the world's marine map.
