The financial system needs a comprehensive and general assessment amid significant interest-rate hikes, said Seth Carpenter, Global Chief Economist, Morgan Stanley.
He told the Financial Sector Conference (FSC) today, March 15, that the fiscal and monetary policies are quickly affected by the Federal Reserve's decisions on interest- rate hikes. He added that this impacts the slowdown of economy and inflation.
He pointed out that the US central bank seeks to better engineer the situation to reduce inflation rates, noting that higher prices will have repercussions on the financial sector.
