The Idle Lands Program issued the invoices for undeveloped land fees for the year 1444/1445 AH, for the seventh round of the first phase in Dammam.
The program urged landowners to develop their lands or pay the fees within one year of issuance.
Failure to pay the invoices within the set deadline will entail a fine that may amount to 100% of the fee value, in addition to the original fees, the program stated.
The program also announced the start of the second phase in Jeddah, Makkah and Dammam.
Fees applicable to land plot owned by more than one owner under one deed will be imposed proportionally, according to each owner’s land share.
The idle land tax regulations have three phases. First, undeveloped land plots with an area of 10,000 square meters (sqm) or more.
Second, land plots with an area of 10,000 sqm or more, and those developed for a single owner with an area of 10,000 sqm or more in one scheme.
Third, developed land plots with an area of 5,000 sqm or more, and those developed for an individual owner with an area of 10,000 sqm or more in one city.
