The implementation of the recruitment cost cap decision is reviewed regularly to serve the best interest of all parties, OKAZ newspaper reported, citing Saad Alhammad, Spokesperson for Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD).
In case of not complying with the decision, the license will be withdrawn from the violating company or office, in addition to other actions that may be taken in this regard.
Alhammad stressed the importance of using the Kingdom’s official Musaned platform for recruitment.
He noted that the ministry earlier announced the initiative of domestic worker contract insurance, which will be activated soon, to boost the attractiveness of the Saudi labor market and improve the contractual relationships.
HRSD announced the inclusion of Sri Lanka in its earlier decision obligating establishments that provide mediation services in the recruitment of domestic workers not to exceed the ministry’s highest ceiling, according to data available with Argaam.
The maximum limit for recruiting domestic workers from Sri Lanka was set at SAR 15,000, excluding the value added tax (VAT), the ministry added.
