Al Rajhi Bank, in collaboration with the Wareef Charitable Foundation affiliated with King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, launched two mobile blood carts worth SAR 6 million, which were sponsored by the bank as one of the bank's sustainable social responsibility projects aimed at achieving sustainable community development.
Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al Mufadda, Chief of Staff of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, and Mr. Waleed Al-Mogbel, Managing Director and CEO of Al Rajhi Bank, attended the inauguration, which was held at the headquarters of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh has received generous support from Al Rajhi Bank, as part of the initiative to improve cooperation between the private and non-profit sectors, the culture of social responsibility, advancing development, and supporting health services provided to beneficiaries. This initiative will improve the capabilities of "KFSH&RC" to reach more donors, increasing the stock of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre’s blood bank.
Mr. Waleed Al-Mogbel, for his part, confirmed that the bank's contribution to this initiative is part of the bank's sustainable social responsibility programs that aimed to help the health sector achieve its goals, reduce the growing need for blood, and motivate blood donors by reaching them where they are.
Al Rajhi Bank’s social responsibility strategy focuses on education, health, and housing sectors, as these sectors serve the largest segment of society and contribute to the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks a prosperous future and sustainable development.
Wareef Charity's message is to support the provision of health care services at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre by contributing to the relief of patients' and their families' suffering, funding research, participating in health-related awareness campaigns, and developing medical endowments in collaboration with local institutions. and global leadership.
It is worth noting that Al Rajhi Bank has adopted many health projects in all regions of the Kingdom at a cost of more than SAR 200 million, most notably a donation of SAR 70 million to establish the Al Rajhi Bank Medical Tower within the endowments of King Saud University, and a donation of SAR 10 million to support the infertility and fertilization program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. In addition, SAR 7.8 million was donated for the establishment of the Al Rajhi Bank Center for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, as well as an anti-smoking program at Turaif General Hospital. Along with supporting the Ministry of Health's Health Endowment Fund to provide 1,100 wheelchairs, and the donation of an ambulance to the Taif Governorate Association of Health Diseases and Dialysis. The bank also recently signed an agreement with the Qassim Health Cluster to establish the Al Rajhi Bank Diabetes Center, which will cost SAR 13.5 million and will be fully funded by the bank.
