Saudi Arabia plans to make its exports more diversified and competitive regionally and globally, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning, told Asharq News.

 

He added that the Kingdom focuses on two sets of sectors; the first includes the sectors that have strong influence on economy such as entertainment, sports, culture and tourism. These sectors play a significant role in creating jobs and attracting talents, and they will witness innovation.

 

The second set includes the sectors that the Kingdom focuses on to diversify its non-oil economic resources.

 

Al-Ibrahim added that the Kingdom has the opportunity to accelerate its ambitions, programs and initiatives that target the achievement of Vision 2030 goals.

 

The Kingdom is witnessing great economic opportunities and seeks to extrapolate potential challenges deeply, the minister said, indicating that non-oil sectors would record strong growth rates.

 

He added that the Saudi economy will become comprehensive and sustainable, pointing out that the Kingdom has clear governance, in cooperation with the private sector, to achieve several sustainable development goals.
