The first day of the Future Minerals Forum, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, witnessed the signing of 25 memorandums of understanding and cooperation between a number of government entities, companies and establishments participating in the event.
In a statement received by Argaam, the ministry said these memorandums and agreements covered mining exploration activities, technology and communication, sustainability application standards, localization and manufacturing in the minerals sector. Moreover, the exploration licenses of Khnaiguiyah and Umm Ad Dammar were handed to winners.
These agreements were inked by many firms, including Specialty Industrial Chemistry Co. (SICCo), Barrick Gold Group, Ivanhoe Electric, Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), Moxico Resources and Ajlan & Bros., Rockburst Technologies, Hall Core Drilling, Shell, and Nokia.
