Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has recently initiated several criminal cases, and legal procedures against the accused are underway.

Nazaha continued investigations into 18 cases. Among the detainees were doctors who claimed operating 18,953 surgeries. However, they did not carry out such surgeries and claimed SAR 87.33 million from the hospitals.

A municipality employee was arrested for receiving money in exchange for approving plans. However, he failed to prove the legality of a SAR 81.23 million deposit in his banking account.

A municipality employee was also arrested for illegal awarding of projects worth SAR 10.94 million to a commercial entity owned by him.

Moreover, a police officer was arrested for appropriating SAR 755,900.

The authority will continue to apply the law, with zero-tolerance against corruption.
