Saudi social insurance subscribers at 9.35 mln in Q2 2022: GOSI

Saudi Arabia’s General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) said a total of 9.35 million private-sector employees were registered in the social insurance scheme by the end of Q2 2022, an increase of 7%, compared to 9.08 million in Q1 2022.

 

Insured citizens, who account for 25.9% of the total private sector subscribers, increased by 64,600 to 2.41 million in Q2 2022, compared to Q1 2022.

 

The number of insured expatriate workers increased by 208.500 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 6.93 million in Q2 2022. They account for 74.1% of the Kingdom’s total private sector subscribers.

The services sector accounted for 45.4% of the total subscribers in Q2 2022 with more than 4.2 million employees, followed by the basic engineering industry, which represented 17.1%, or 1.6 million workers.
