Gulf General appoints Khalid Allagany as CEO

Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Co.’s board of directors decided on Nov. 9 to appoint Khalid Allagany as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), after receiving a non-objection letter from Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company indicated that Allagany will assume the CEO’s responsibilities as of Dec. 12.

 

Allagany has nearly 30 years of experience in insurance and banking sectors across the Kingdom.

 

He held the positions of CEO, managing director, and board member in a number of Saudi insurance companies.

 

He holds a bachelor's degree in risk management and completed many advanced training courses in management, finance and insurance, the statement added.
