Shares of Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co. (Saudi Kayan) fell 5% to SAR 11.20, closing at a two-year low today, Nov. 10, with a trading volume of 3.8 million shares.
The stock hit its lowest level today at SAR 11.
Today’s drop pushed the stock’s losses to reach more than 50% since March 2022.
Saudi Kayan was established in June 2007, the same year it got listed on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul). The petrochemical producer has not made any changes to the capital.
Its objectives mainly include construction, management and operation of an industrial complex in Jubail Industrial City to produce petrochemicals.
Its complex produces specialized chemicals that are being sourced for the first time in Saudi Arabia such as ethanol, ethoxylate, Cumene, phenol, bisphenol A and polycarbonate.
