Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz
King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued three royal decrees today, Sept. 27, reshuffling the Kingdom’s Cabinet and appointing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as Prime Minister.
- Prince Khalid bin Salman was named new Minister of Defense.
- Yousef Al Benyan was appointed as Minister of Education.
The restructured Cabinet comprises 34 ministers, headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The ministers who maintained their positions are Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Minister of State; Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman as Minister of Energy; Prince Tukri bin Mohammed bin Fahd as Minister of State; Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud as Minister of Sports; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Minister of National Guard; Majid AlKassabi as Minister of Commerce Minister and Acting Minister of Media; Bandar Alkhorayef as Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; Ahmed Alkhateeb as Minister of Tourism; Fahad Al-Jalajel as Minister of Health and Yousef Al Benyan as Minister of Education.
Other ministers who maintained their portfolios are Prince Faisal bin Farhan as Minister of Foreign Affairs; Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih as Minister of Investment; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz as Minister of Interior, Mohammed al-Jadaan as Minister of Finance; Walid Al-Samaani as Minister of Justice, Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh as Minister of Islamic affairs; Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan as Minister of Culture, Tawfig Al-Rabiah as Minister of Hajj and Umrah, and Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim as Minister of Economy and Planning.
