The General Authority for Competition (GAC) approved on Aug. 21 economic concentration between Microsoft Corp. and Activision Blizzard Inc.
Microsoft will buy 100% of the US-based video game maker, GAC said on its official Twitter account.
Last January, Microsoft agreed to acquire Activision for $68.7 billion.
After receiving the green light from regulatory authorities, Microsoft will be the world’s third largest company in the industry, behind TenCent and Sony.
