Middle East Healthcare Co. (Saudi German Health) received the final license from the Ministry of Health on Aug. 1 to operate its Makkah hospital, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

Saudi German Hospital in Makkah (SGH-Makkah) will start receiving patients starting from the first week of September.

All the required tests related to the medical and construction systems, along with availability of all the required medical and administrative staff, are complete to enable the actual operation of the hospital to begin, the statement said.

The company undertook all the expenses before the operation and will continue to bear all projected expenses. Disclosures on any financial updates will be done during the quarterly financial results, the statement added.

SGH-Makkah is planned as a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital, with a capacity of 300 beds and 100 outpatient clinics. It is located on Ibrahim Al Khalil Road in Waliu Aleahd District of Makkah.

In June, Saudi German Health announced the completion of construction work of SGH-Makkah, including the installation of medical and other equipment, Argaam reported.

SGH-Makkah’s construction started in 2018.
