Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) building
Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) launched commercial operations at the third ammonia plant in Ras Al-Khair, with a design capacity of nearly 1.1 million tons per annum (tpa), according to a bourse filing.
The plant achieved stability in trial operations, the statement said, adding that the relevant financial impact is forecast to appear on Q2 2022 results.
This is first project of the company’s fully-owned subsidiary, Ma’aden Fertilizer Co.
Maaden announced in February the completion of the construction and pre-commissioning activities for the third ammonia plant in Ras Al-Khair, according to data available with Argaam.
In October 2018, the company awarded Daelim Industrial Co Ltd and Daelim Saudi Arabia Company Ltd (Daelim Saudi Arabia) a SAR 3.35 billion worth of contract to construct a 1.1 million tpa ammonia plant in Ras al-Khair.
