Abdulrahman Althukair, CEO of Saudi Exports Development Authority (SEDA), confirmed the depth and strength of relations between Saudi Arabia and the US, which are driven by a strategic partnership based on trust between the two countries since 1945.
On the occasion of US President Joe Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia, Althukair said the Kingdom’s non-oil exports to the US amounted to about SAR 43 billion from 2016 to 2021.
He added that petrochemical exports to the US reached SAR 5 billion, building materials (SAR 1.7 billion), as well as heavy machinery and electronics (SAR 1.2 billion).
The Kingdom's non-oil exports to the US increased 10% year-on-year (YoY) to reach SAR 3.1 billion in the first quarter of 2022, compared to a year earlier.
Althukair further said Vision 2030 aims to stimulate the bilateral relations between the two countries, which would enhance the Vision's objectives in diversifying the sources of national income by increasing the share of non-oil sectors and enhancing non-oil exports.
