Arabian Centres Co.'s (ACC) board of directors approved today, June 16, the appointment of Alison Rehill-Erguven as new CEO, effective from Aug. 21. Meanwhile, Mohamad Mourad will maintain his position as Acting CEO until Aug. 20, according to a bourse filing.
Rehill-Erguven has more than two decades of extensive experience in shopping malls and real estate properties sectors. She worked in the world’s leading emerging markets such as Asia, Europe, and Latin America. In addition, she has more than a decade of experience working in the US market with global industry-leading firms, such as General Growth Properties and Simon Property Group, said the company.
Before joining ACC, she was the head of commercial real estate of Shanghai-based Brookfield Properties. Brookfield acquired Pradera Retail Asia (PRA), where Rehill-Erguven was formally the CEO in 2016. Her expertise also includes working as the Managing Director of Pradera Limited, a London-based private equity firm, specialized in retail real estate, with assets and employees across the UK, Europe, and Turkey.
Alison received a bachelor’s degree in international trade with honors from the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York, in 1994.
In January, ACC’s board of directors approved the resignation of CEO Faisal Al Jedaie, which took effect on Jan. 31. It also named Mohamed Mourad as the Acting CEO as of Feb. 1.
