The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) issued today, June 2, a circular to all airlines operating in the Kingdom, with respect to health guidelines for passengers arriving from overseas to perform Hajj for this Hijri year.

The circular stipulates that all airlines – state-owned or private – carrying Hajj passengers to Saudi Arabia for the 1443 Hijri year should not allow persons aged more than 65 years on board, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Passengers should also be fully immunized against COVID-19 with basic vaccine doses accredited by the Ministry of Health. They must be in possession of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to flight departure time.

GACA stressed that failure to adhere to these health guidelines is considered a clear violation of government orders that entails legal actions to be taken against violators.
