Company executives at agreement signing ceremony
OQ Group signed today, May 26, the joint development agreement for Oman’s green hydrogen project with US-based Air Products Inc. and Tadawul-listed ACWA Power Co.
The agreement aims at establishing a plant to produce ammonia using green hydrogen in Oman, powered by renewable energy sources, Oman News Agency reported.
The companies agreed to establish the joint venture project in Salalah Free Zone (SFZ) and equip it with state-of-the-art technologies. The project will also include innovative integration of renewable power from solar, wind and storage.
The project is also expected to produce hydrogen using electrolysis, nitrogen through air separation and green ammonia.
