Saudi social insurance subscribers rise to 8.52 mln in Q4 2021: GOSI

Saudi Arabia’s General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) said a total of 8.52 million private-sector employees were registered in the social insurance scheme by the end of Q4 2021, an increase of 4%, compared to 8.15 million in Q3 2021.

 

Insured citizens, who account for 26.4% of the total private sector subscribers, increased by 113,100 to 2.24 million in Q4 2021, compared to the previous quarter.

 

The number of insured expatriate workers also increased by 248,100 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 6.27 million in Q4. They account for 73.6% of the Kingdom’s total private sector subscribers.

The services sector accounted for 42.4% of the total subscribers in Q4 with more than 3.61 million employees, followed by the basic assisting engineering professions sector that represented 23.3%, or 1.98 million workers.
