GAC receives 100 economic concentration applications in 2022: Spokesperson

Saad Al Masoud, Spokesperson for the General Authority for Competition (GAC), said the authority has received more than 100 economic concentration applications since the beginning of 2022, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

 

He added that the applications are topped by those related to the manufacturing, wholesale and retail sectors, indicating that the authority issued no-objection decisions for 47 of the total received applications.

 

The number of applications that are unnecessary to report reached 41, Al Masoud said, adding that the authority is still studying 12 other applications.
