Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense signed 23 contracts with local and international companies, at a total value of nearly SAR 13 billion on the fourth day of the World Defense Show 2022.
 
The event is organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) from March 6-9 in Riyadh.
 

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the signed contracts included the following:
 

- Five contracts with the Saudi Military Industries, including two contracts for the Land Forces, and three contracts for the Navy, at a total value of SAR 6 billion. They included contracts for the acquisition of communications systems and military vehicles, contracts to secure ammunition, and contracts for sustainability of a number of marine systems.
 

- A contract with the Military Industries Corporation, at an amount exceeding SAR 1 billion, for the Air Force, to acquire defense systems that include technical and logistical support and training.
 

- Two contracts with the US-based Raytheon, at an estimated amount of SAR 2 billion, to acquire defense capabilities and technical support, and to enhance the capabilities of the Air Defense Forces.
 

- A contract with Lockheed Martin Global Inc for the Air Force, at an amount exceeding SAR 1 billion, to acquire comprehensive sensor systems for localization and sustainability.
 

- A contract with China's Poly Technology for the Air Defense Forces, at an amount of SAR 370 million, to acquire defense systems.
 

- Two contracts with France's Thales International for the Air Defense Forces, at a value of SAR 1.5 billion, for the acquisition of defense systems and technical and logistical support.
 

- Three contracts with Advanced Electronics Co. (AEC) for the Air Force, at a value of SAR 250 million, in the areas of development, technical support and maintenance for the aircrew training on F-15 aircraft simulators, as well as the sustainability of defense systems.
 

- Two contracts with the Aircraft Complementary Equipment Co. Ltd., at a value of more than SAR 400 million, to provide logistical support services for the Air Force.
 

- A contract with Swiss-based Rheinmetall, at a value of more than SAR 260 million, to provide logistical support services and support for air defense systems.
 

- Four contracts with the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS) for the Land Forces, at an amount of SAR 100 million, to supply comprehensive electro-optical systems for localization and sustainability.
 

- A contract with US-based Aerovision, at a value of SAR 100 million, to provide logistical support services for Boeing 707 aircraft, with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of the Saudi Air Force.
 

The Ministry of Defense signed 10 contracts with local and international companies yesterday, with a total value exceeding SAR 7 billion, during the third day of the World Defense Show, bringing the total number of concluded contracts to about 33 contracts worth SAR 20 billion, according to Argaam's data.
