Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef addressing the ‘Made in Saudi’ program

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, said 1,300 companies have joined “Made in Saudi” program, with about 2,000 more awaiting enrolment.

The minister noted that there are 6,000 products registered in the program, in addition to 29 partnerships with government agencies and national companies.

He stressed that “Made in Saudi” is a dream that Vision 2030 will turn into a reality since it is backed by leadership and the follow-up of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The program aims to highlight the Kingdom's industrial strength and potential to reach the world, as it aims to increase consumption of domestic products and services, and enhance the local product affiliation, Alkhorayef added.

This enhances the attractiveness of investment in the industrial sector, boosts investment and employment opportunities, as well as helps companies export and increase the proportion of non-oil exports, the minister said.
