Faisal Alibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning
Faisal Alibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning and Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), said 30 days are enough to complete collecting data of Saudi nationals during the actual enumeration phase, as part of Saudi Census 2022.
On the sidelines of his visit to the control room of Saudi Census 2022, the minister told Argaam that the census operations include several phases, namely trial enumeration, verification and updating of addresses, and finally actual enumeration.
The authority employed satellite technology and artificial intelligence (AI), and covered the urban areas more accurately, Alibrahim said, indicating that the self-enumeration will greatly help complete this coverage.
Further, the minister indicated that there are more than 14,000 observers participating in the current phase, and there will also be 40,000 Saudi male and female observers participating in the actual enumeration phase that will be in Shawwal.
Alibrahim stressed the importance of all citizens and residents’ participation in the process of collecting data, noting that Vision 2030 aims to attract several talents to invest and work in the Kingdom and increase the efficiency and productivity of workers. “Therefore, collecting data is very important.”
The minister earlier said 35% of address updates was completed within 11 days only, as part of Saudi Census 2022, according to data available with Argaam.
