Osama Al Zamil, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, said that Saudi Arabia has more than 1,321 plastics factories with over SAR 35 billion investments, SPA reported.

These factories account for 2.62% of the total industrial investments in the Kingdom, Al Zamil said on the sidelines of inaugurating the International Polymer Forum and the Plastic Manufacturers Exhibition 2022 at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

He further indicated that pumping investments into the plastics industries boosts productivity, cuts cost of production, and also eliminates pollution due to the easy recycling of the plastics products.

Saudi Arabia has great prospects as regards the development of the industrial sector in the light of Vision 2030, since the industrial sector has a significant role in diversifying the economic activities and provide investment as well as employment opportunities.
