The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) revealed that the number of metal products factories in its industrial cities increased to more than 1,290 by the end of 2020.

CEO Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Salem said that the metal industries in the industrial cities vary between fabricated metals, excluding machinery and equipment, with a total of 846 factories, and other non-metallic minerals products with 450 factories distributed across the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The growing demand for investment in industrial cities is driven by MODON's keenness to integrate with the industry and mineral wealth system, and the public and private sectors to create an integrated industrial society that meets the requirements of sustainable development, said Al-Salem.
