Saudi Arabia jumped 23 rankings among the top countries in digital government, according to a recent survey of the World Digital Government Ranking 2021 Survey, issued by the Institute of Digital Government, Japan's Waseda University, in cooperation with IAC Academy.

The survey, in its 16th edition, covered 64 countries around the world, with Saudi Arabia ranking 30th in the general index and 11th among the G20 countries.

The annual index measures progress in government digital services and their link to innovation and integration, as well as their contribution to improving the efficiency of administrative and financial work and improving the quality of life for beneficiaries. It also measures the contributions of government digital services to promoting sustainable development goals.

The report highlighted the efforts made by the Saudi government in the field of community participation and digital legislation, in addition to the establishment of the Digital Government Authority.
