The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman said the Kingdoms seeks to protect the safety and health of citizens and expats, as well as achieve human development, economic diversification, and financial sustainability.
King Salman announced 2022 budget today, Dec. 12, as the Kingdom overcame the economic impacts and exceptional phases of COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that the Kingdom continues its financial and economic reforms, in light of Vision 2030.
"The budget confirms our keenness to protect and enhance our gains," the King said, expressing determination to continue implementing initiatives and reforms to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.
He added that the Kingdom seeks to improve the quality of life, optimize the use of resources, as well as raise the level of transparency, efficiency, and quality of spending to enhance growth and development rates. Moreover, it aims to develop the facilities and basic services as well as the educational environment, in addition to supporting the housing plans.
Further, the King said he directed ministers and officials to actively implement the budget’s development and social programs and projects, as well as follow up on the health situation and provide the necessary allocations for the health sector.
This aims to raise the sector's efficiency through providing vaccines to all citizens and residents of the Kingdom, he noted.
"We will continue to utilize all our resources and energies, mainly the Saudi citizens, to achieve our goals," the King concluded.
