The Idle Lands Program announced the disbursement of more than SAR 24.4 million to implement infrastructure services in several housing projects across different regions.
This amount represents part of the program's revenues collected from fees imposed on idle lands located within the urban range in the cities subject to the system within its first phase, the program said in a statement.
The revenues were spent on King Abdullah housing projects in Sharurah, Al-Uyanah, Al-Aflaaj, Al-Kharj and Al-Khurma. The expenditures included the construction of power stations and the connection of electricity and water services.
The program will continue to allocate revenues collected from the idle land fees to develop infrastructure projects and deliver public services in several residential projects affiliated to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing.
