Saudi Arabia has administered 47.25 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to date, of which 343,000 were activated, according to the latest official data issued by the Ministry of Health.
The number of persons who received the first and second doses reached 24.56 million and 22.34 million, respectively. Meanwhile, a total of 1.71 million aged persons were vaccinated.
The ministry stated that more than 26,700 new doses were offered to residents and citizens in the last 24 hours.
On Dec. 17, the ministry launched the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination campaign, followed by the second phase on Feb. 18.
