Idle Lands Program says SAR 1.7 bln fee revenues spent on over 80 residential projects

The revenues of fees levied on idle lands in Saudi Arabia reached nearly SAR 1.7 billion so far, Okaz newspaper reported, citing Abdul Hameed Al-Hammad, Head of the Idle Lands Program.

 

In a seminar held by Al Ahsa Chamber, Al-Hammad said the revenues were spent on the infrastructure and delivery of services to more than 80 residential projects across the Kingdom.

 

He added that fees were imposed on more than 400 million square meters (sqm), representing billed lands across the Kingdom, and developed lands spreading over 19 million sqm, with more than 55 million sqm whose ownership was transferred, and over 10 million sqm are still under development.
